We are looking for someone to come and help us grow our business by securing new business within the social and corporate markets, while delivering a WOW experience to our customers.

We will support our new colleague all the way. Our previous Business Development expert has been promoted and is happy to share all her knowledge and expertise to help you grow, because we’re great like that.

You’ll be focused on delivering 2 KPI’s, one which focuses on a monthly revenue target, while the other is on the feedback you recieve from your customers.

With our support we will help you:

  • Create and implement business plans and strategies to reach and exceed targets while maximising occupancy and revenue
  • Seek out, negotiate and close new business in the corporate and social markets
  • Particular focus required on week night social events
  • Identify opportunities for marketing campaigns that will lead to an increase in sales
  • Manage existing client database and further develop strong relationships to grow business and generate referrals
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators with the Sales Manager
  • Liaise with clients to prepare proposals and to arrange new site inspections
  • Advise on new business trends with a view to developing new services and products
  • Cross sell between the two venues where appropriate

Maple Event Group is searching for a Receptionist/Administrator to work across both our venues in Hawthorn and Richmond. This is a part-time role, working 20 hours a week over Saturday and Sunday (at Leonda By The Yarra) and Mondays (at Fenix Events).

We have big plans to grow the business, so who knows where this opportunity may lead.

What exactly is required for the role?

Your goal will be to support Jess, our Admin Manager, by providing a first class welcome and accurate and timely admin support to your colleagues.  

A big warm welcome is crucial, so a great smile and a warm hello is crucial in helping create that WOW experience for our clients. In addition to this, attention to detail is essential, so if you’re a list person, that’s a great start. 

Ideally our new colleague will have experience in a similar role, with strong communication skills.
