Your Vision, Your Event, Your Way
Imagine you were sitting in front of a fortune teller. She was waving her hands around her cloudy magical ball and told you that you were allowed to ask her three questions. THREE questions about anything and everything!
Well #MEGFamily– we don’t want you to waste these valuable questions on anything to do with your event planning! Read on for all your general questions answered.
Why are you called the Maple Event Group?
We are a Melbourne based, family owned event group with one clear goal – to consistently deliver exceptional experiences to our clients and their guests. Hence ‘Events’. We are able to achieve this in both of our venues by creating a culture based on our MAPLE values. Hence Maple. Group because there are multiple venues!
Yep! Leonda By The Yarra in Hawthorn and Fenix Events in Richmond.
How do I get to Fenix Events?
We suggest driving, tramming, or walking! If you’re coming from the CBD then download this flyer showing directions into the city.
And what about Leonda By The Yarra? How do I get there?
Driving, catching the train, tramming, or walking works well for this one! We are also right on the Yarra River – anyone up for a water-ski? Alternatively boat transport can be arranged through your event coordinator. Check out this flyer for all the details.
Where should I park at Leonda and is it free?
We have a car park on site with 150 spots. To park at Leonda is complimentary to guests. Should this run out we suggest parking along Yarra Boulevard. Should you be required to park along Yarra Boulevard you may need to delve into those coins normally saved for a sneaky Cheeseburger.
There is a public, pay and display car park on site at Fenix. Its sneaky entrance is located off of River Boulevard, and left into Elaine Court. Just make sure you organise a ticket for your car! They can be purchased through the machines in the car park itself, or for $6 from one of our friendly Fenix staff.
How many guests can each of your venues fit?
Have a look here for a few generic capacities. For an exact number based on your specific floor plan please contact our Event Executive team on 9819 1933.
But is my preferred date free?
Give our Event Executive team a call on 9819 1933 or contact them here and they’ll be able to check the calendar for you on the spot!
I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?
Quest Apartments in Hawthorn or Abbotsford are good close by options, or the Amora Hotel on Bridge Road. Download this flyer for all the nearby accommodation goss.
Is Leonda wheelchair / skateboard / pram accessible?
Our spaces are definitely wheelchair friendly. An OH&S complient ramp can be hired at an additional fee. Please call your Event Coordinator on 9819 1933 for more information.
What about Fenix?
Fenix is accessible for everyone! There are disabled car parks in the car park on site, and there is elevator access through the car park and office building next door. If you’re coming by on the weekend though it’s best to ring ahead as you’ll need a key-pass to access the elevator on those days. Our staff would be happy to meet you in the car park though to help.
I want my guests to remember the food. Is it actually good?
We eat it every day and still can’t get enough of it! Our Executive Chef Roland Gordon, and Fenix’s Head Chef Srinath Bandara pride themselves on delicious, well presented, decent sized dishes. Our menu is always kept current, and dietary requirements can be catered for. Want a particular dish or style of menu? Just ask!
Do you have specials?
We have the ability to tailor pricing for you based on your minimum number of guests, the package you’re after, its inclusions, AND the date you select. Provide us with all this information and out pops extreme value!
What should I wear?
You are likely to have a dress code stipulated on your event invite. However, if not then black suit pants or a black dress is always a safe option in Melbourne. Because black is the new black!
If I have a question not answered here, then how do I contact you?
